Victoria Canal is a Spanish-American, London-based artist celebrated for her deeply introspective songwriting and genre-blending style. Her debut album Slowly, It Dawns marks a moment of self-acceptance, as she embraces all aspects of her identity—honest, vulnerable, and empowered. A classically trained musician with a diverse global background, Canal combines jazz, indie pop, and Latin influences to create songs that explore themes of love, loss, self-discovery, and growth.
Recognized with an Ivor Novello Award for her song “Black Swan,” Canal has toured with Hozier, shared the stage with Coldplay at Glastonbury, and earned critical acclaim from The New Yorker and The Observer. The album, crafted over three years in both London and L.A., features collaborations with Ross MacDonald (The 1975), Kevin Farzad, and Eg White. From euphoric queer anthems to heartfelt ballads, it offers an emotional journey through the highs and lows of life. Above all, Canal’s work is an unapologetic exploration of her artistry—nuanced, limitless, and profoundly real.
Christof van der Ven is a Dutch-born, London-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for his intimate lyrics and atmospheric folk sound. Having released several solo albums, including Empty Handed (2018) and You Were the Place (2019), van der Ven’s music is a blend of tender vocals and rich acoustic textures. In addition to his solo work, he has been a long-time collaborator with the band Bear’s Den, both on tour and in the studio. His music often delves into themes of love, identity, and personal evolution with a quiet but potent emotional resonance.
In April 2025, van der Ven released his third album, Is This What We’ve Become? through Mahogany Songs. The 10-track album addresses themes of personal reflection, exploring relationships with loved ones, past selves, and the complex emotions tied to years of promise, regret, and loss.
