Over the past year, Maicín has firmly established themselves as one of Cork’s most exciting emerging acts, captivating audiences across Ireland with their high-energy performances.
The band has been working steadily on new material with the talented producer Oli Deakin (known for his work with CMAT, Elanor Moss, and Swimming Bell), carving out a unique sound that sets them apart. To date, they’ve released four singles: ‘Find Somebody New,’ ‘One Channel Television,’ ‘It Is What It Is,’ and the standout track ‘Che Guevara,’ which has already racked up over 10,000 streams on Spotify.
Their impressive achievements include winning both the UCC Battle of the Bands and the Intervarsity Battle of the Bands, and now they’re gearing up for their first headline show at Cyprus Avenue on Friday, 5th September 2025. This special night will coincide with the release of their latest single and fan-favorite track, ‘First Time Buyers.’
