Cork City Ballet’s Christmas production of The Nutcracker is on at Cork Opera House from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 November. Directed by Alan Foley with choreography by Yury Demakov, it brings principals, soloists and a full corps de ballet to the stage for the journey from the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of Sweets, all set to Tchaikovsky’s famous score.
Performances are at 8pm on Thursday and Friday, with a 2.30pm matinee and an 8pm show on Saturday. The run is listed as sold out, so keep an eye on the venue for returns. Under 16s need to sit with an adult.
