Swedish singer-songwriter Amanda Bergman is renowned for her soulful, raspy voice and deeply evocative music. Initially known by the stage names Hajen and Idiot Wind, she gained widespread recognition as the lead vocalist of Amason, the celebrated supergroup that includes Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Gustav Ejstes (Dungen), Nils Törnqvist, and Petter Winnberg — the latter of whom is both her husband and creative partner. In 2016, Amanda released her debut solo album Docks, which garnered critical acclaim and endorsements from artists like Justin Vernon and Adam Granduciel.
Even though eight years have passed since her debut, Amanda has stayed creatively engaged, releasing music with Amason, founding the rural concert venue Rockbonden, and launching her own label, CowCow, which she operates alongside Petter on their farm. Along the way, she has also faced personal struggles, including challenges with mental health. On June 7, 2024, she unveiled her long-awaited second solo album, Your Hand Forever Checking On My Fever, ushering in an exciting new phase of her artistic journey.
