For nearly 15 years, Wisconsin-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer S. Carey has built a distinguished solo career centered around themes of nature, sustainability, and introspective, emotive songwriting rooted in his jazz background.
With six full-length albums and two EPs to his name, as well as close collaborations with artists such as John Raymond (Shadowlands), Dylan Bizhikiins Jennings and Joe Rainey (Bizhiki), S. Carey’s contributions to music have extended beyond his own work. He has also lent his talents to Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Big Red Machine, Bruce Hornsby, Victoria Canal, Gia Margaret, Gordi, Owen, and many more, through production, songwriting, performance, and remixing.
Known for his extensive touring, S. Carey has become a highly respected live performer. As the second longest-serving member of Bon Iver, he has proven to be a crucial part of the band’s live experience, showcasing his talent and versatility on stages worldwide.
