Thompsons Cork Restaurant & Microbrewery offers a relaxed, casual dining experience set within the vintage and historical setting of the former Thompsons Bakery, a Cork institution dating back to 1826. The restaurant preserves many artefacts from the bakery’s heyday, including the original steel-tiled floor, offering visitors a unique connection to Cork’s industrial past. Located conveniently near Patrick’s Street and Kent Train Station, it is a prime spot for food and beverage needs in the city centre.

The restaurant operates as a steakhouse with a strong emphasis on high-quality Irish beef, which is hand-selected from local Munster farmers and artisan butchers. They employ a specialised 4-stage process, including Himalayan Salt Dry Aging for a minimum of 28 days to enhance flavour, before cooking the steaks over a live charcoal flame at 400 degrees in a Josper Grill-Oven. Thompsons is also a microbrewery and is open seven days a week.
