The weekend is here and the possibility the weather might be good even for June! There is a lot happening this weekend in Cork especially for music lovers with Cork’s Independence park hosting concerts for the first time, the Marquee concerts going strong and Cork’s Midsummer festival running still.
Of course there are lots of other things going on outside music so listed below are some options if you are heading out and about this weekend. Enjoy!
1. Cork Independence Park Gigs
Tonight (Friday) we have Walking on Cars. This Irish rock band are hugely popular and bound to have a capacity group there this evening.

Liam Gallagher and how high Flying Birds finish off the weekend on Sunday night. Hozier and Lauryn Hill play Monday and Wednesday to make the week music filled in the famed rugby venue.
The Marquee continues all through June but this weekend Versatile (Sold Out), One Day and Kris Kristofferson star. The wide range of music has something for most tastes and these gigs now in their 14th year never fail to entertain both Cork and wider afield audiences.
